Brits Switch On To Climate Change

Latest reports show UK are making the effort with energy saving

British households are slowly switching on to the fact that energy saving is a must for reducing their carbon footprint and saving money.  After a barrage of media coverage and endless pleas from the government people across the nation are starting to sit up and take notice of the threat of climate change.

This said there is still more we could do to save energy with one of the key areas for improvement being insulating our homes, - the easiest and most effective way of reducing energy use. According to government figures, UK homes currently account for 28% of the country's CO2 emissions but The National Insulation Association has estimated that 13 million of the nation's homes don't have adequate insulation, let alone the Government's recommended standards.

Upgrading our insulation could save us almost £448million each year and reduce the nation's carbon footprint in the process.  After an insulation upgrade a house will be more comfortable to live in - cooler in summer and warmer in winter, and will have lower heating bills. Having an energy efficient home will also make your house more attractive to potential buyers.
