RWM - Recycling and Waste Management 2006

RWM - Recycling and Waste Management, the biggest and best attended show for the recycling and waste management industry, will be returning to the NEC in Birmingham from 12 to 14 September 2006, with more space and a new look.

Just over three months after RWM05 and with nine months until RWM06, organisers have announced that over 240 stands have been confirmed already and the popular outside exhibition and demonstration area has been expanded to accommodate the anticipated 25% growth in stand space. Meanwhile a £250,000 marketing campaign and a fresh image will help to ensure the show brings in its ambitious target of 7,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors over the three days.

RWM05 broke new records by attracting 6443 audited visitors* (and was attended by a total of 8429). The high quality of visitors was confirmed by post-show research** which found that 89% of RWM05 exhibitors met new customers on their stands and over half had taken post show orders from sales leads obtained at the show within one month of the show ending. Not surprisingly 96% of RWM05 exhibitors said they definitely or probably intend to exhibit at RWM06, and many established and emerging names in vehicles, plant and equipment have booked stands already.

Speaking about RWM05, Martin Izzard of MDRC Group said: “We do the RWM exhibition purely because people come here for business… This year has been phenomenal for us. The customers we’ve had on [our stand] have been existing and new.”

Keith Patterson, managing director of Lampcare (UK) Recycling Ltd, said: “RWM is an event we would simply not want to miss. We foresee our company attending for many years to come. Quite simply it is so far ahead of the other recycling exhibitions in the UK, that it does not have any serious competition in terms of professionalism, lead generation or visitor attendance.”

Exhibition director, Steve Crowhurst said: “Centrally located at the NEC, with its excellent facilities and transport links, RWM is where exhibitors come to meet serious buyers, and visitors come to find out about the very latest innovations and best practice. Our ABC Profile Certificate of Attendance and visitor and exhibitor research prove it is the biggest and best-attended event in the UK’s waste and recycling industry calendar – and the only event of its kind which profile audits its visitors. The success of the record-breaking RWM05 together with the investment and energy which is going into the planning of RWM06 will help to ensure it continues to serve the needs of the entire industry and showcases the very best of this thriving and diverse sector.”

More information including the exhibitor listings and details of the interactive visitor attractions will be published on www.rwmexhibition.com in the coming months.

RWM06 is backed by the industry’s leading weekly publication, Materials Recycling Week.
