National PARK(ing)Day

With over 245,000 miles of road in the UK it's easy to feel sometimes that the car dominates our landscape which is why ‘PARK(ing) Day’ was invented.

Brought to the UK for the first time this year by ibuyeco, 'PARK(ing) Day' is an annual, global event which sees metered parking spaces reclaimed and transformed into temporary parks for public enjoyment. Held in celebration of the little things that make a difference to the environment, the day challenges people to rethink the way our streets and parking spaces are used at the same time as brightening up our communities.
