Take Action To Change Your World

15th June 2010

Change Your World

Right now in the UK two out of five local journeys are made by foot, bike and public transport. Sustrans wants to see this double to four out of five. You can help. Pledge to make a journey on foot, by bike or on public transport before 4 July. Then tell Government they must act too – to make the right decisions now and invest more in making it easier for everyone to travel in ways that are good for our health and the environment.

Change Your World is all about lots of individuals making a small change which, collectively, adds up to something muchbigger.

Between 1 June and 4 July, they are asking you to pledge to make one of your local journeys by foot, bike and public transport. Sustrans are hoping to get everyone to pledge enough journeys to complete a virtual route around the world – all 24,900 miles!

Change Your World is brought to you bySustrans, a leading UK charity on a mission toenable us all to travel by foot, by bike andpublic transport for more of the journeys wemake every day.Through innovative work and initiatives they’ve already created more than 12,000 milesof walking and cycling routes across the UKand are busy working with children inschools, with families at home, as well as withbusinesses, communities and policy-makers tomake it easier for everyone to travel in waysthat are good for their health and theenvironment.
